So . . . it's ok for Coburn to say that the U.S. government "earned" the violent rhetoric we are
hearing from the rabid right - but it's "un-American" for anyone to EVER suggest that American policies abroad may be part of the reason for the rise in terrorist threats against us?

And, as I've said before, I sincerely doubt that he would be arguing that anger and threats of violence against American government officials were understandable if that anger and threats were being evidenced by, say, really frustrated and angry African Americans.

1. You have it correct.
The reason this works is very simple.

When we permitted the GOP to practically destroy Liberalism
as a set of philosophical beliefs, there has never been
set of beliefs on the Left to counter Conservatism as a
set of beliefs.

Therefore the GOP has been able to put their opinions
and beliefs out as the only acceptable philosophy.

The GOP sets up Foreign Policy and Democrats pretty
much "me too" their ideas. The Centrist and DLC have
reinforced this. I am not bashing--I am simply explaining
why things are the way they are.

The GOP simply accuse Democrats of being treasonous
expecially if in any way the Dems suggest we may have
made a mistake.

There is never push back by Democrats so Americans are
left to believe the Republicans are correct.

2. I hope Rachel puts the laser light of truth on him and his career in the Senate
Her staffers could be hot on his trail as we type. Imo, the man is insane and so far out of the mainstream that I'm sure he's left a bread crumb trail of crazy.
