Have everyone you know that supports health care reform
e-mail the President. We can complain to each other ad nauseum but we will not get anywhere unless we flood the whitehouse with our thoughts.

This whole issue has been framed wrong since its' inception. This is a moral, ethical and financial issue. It is morally wrong for anyone to profit from denying health care to anyone else, but that is the system that we now have. How could anyone defend the position that it is a good thing that people die so that others can make money. The present system also costs more because of the profit motive. Only the President has the bully pulpit at his disposal, and he needs to use it. Opportunities for great change do not come along very often, and this is one of those times.

We need to push the President to do the right thing. Scrap the congressional versions of health care reform and propose his own reform package that is either a single payer system or at a minimum includes a strong public option. One of those two has to be in the package to make it worthwhile reform.

The link to the whitehouse e-mail is below.
