Is there a grassroots effort to get Baucus sacked as Finance Chair for his quisling behavior?

I thought I read somewhere that some Democratic netroots movement has been attempting to pressure Harry Reid to pressure Baucus to get on board with public option, or else find himself as Chair of the Capitol Broom Closet. If not, is there some effective way to pressure Dem leaders - "get your people in line, or find yourself voted out of office/without campaign contributions/etc."

3. Is it not a shame that Activist have to instruct the Leadership on
how to get things done. This world really is upside down.

Count me in.

4. It isn't "quisling behavior". When are we going to get it through our heads
that a good number of elected Democrats actually *agree* with the Republicans on many issues in their heart of hearts. The reason we can't get progress isn't because our elected officials are "spineless" or "sellouts". It's because a lot of them don't even think we NEED to do anything all that differently. That's the issue here.

5. I stand corrected. "Corporate Dems" is probably more accurate
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are more the "quisling" types: sort-of progressives who would ordinarily do the right thing, but cave-in when the going gets tough.

6. Baucus really isn't the problem. It's his overlords like Harry Reid and
even Obama. They are the ones who should be twisting his arm to do what needs to be done, but they are letting him set the agenda which has already been set by his campaign contributors. If they don't say bad boy, Max, sit, he will chew up any meaningful legislation that doesn't suit him.

7. Why is it when someone becomes "chair"
of anything they immediately have an enlarged head?
