I still trust and support Obama.
He has not really done anything that would make me not want to vote for him again. I know that I will never vote for a repub and Obama has been good so far. I think many people are just being over the top for no reason. I still believe that Obama and dems will do the right thing for America.

Nine months is a short time to judge a politician's success.

FDR took years. We of the "right fucking now" generation
don't know jack shit. I'm afraid we're about to learn a
very hard lesson.

their governments or governing entities do. Getting * out of office did not get rid of RW fundamentalist extremists here. We have only to look within our borders to see the truth of that. Give the man a chance to get something in place so that war can be wound down. And you do something constructive in the meantime to assist beyond handwringing.

For real??! The HECK you say!

Why, I think the non-stop protests and screaming over every single, solitary move that Obama has made, even before he was SWORN INTO OFFICE, have been par for the course! Nothing even the slightest bit remarkable, interesting or "over the top" (to use your phrasing) at all! :eyes:

13. I am with you.
We are still traveling down this road. I don't understand those Democrats who think we are already in the ditch. I support and trust our President, and support my party - flaws, warts and all. What is the alternative? The Reptile party? Or some one who could never be elected? Where we see our party veering off course, or not acting in accord with our platform, it's up to us to straighten things out.

If anyone who calls themselves a Democrat is of a mind to abandon either our President, or our party I don't understand what they are doing on a Democratic website.

by the People.

Yes.We.Can. stop worrying about each and every move he makes with the hundreds of truly major issues.

Democrats have always been "Sunday Morning Quarterbacks" always quick to say they don't like this play and that play.

We gave the ball to OBAMA!

We are the TEAM that supports him.

We can say all we want about the Republicans but they don't back down.

You would think they would be bashing McCain and Palin but not a peep.

They just keep pushing their crazy agenda with the same sad players.
They are going completely nuts now because they don't have the POWER.
For them it's about POWER for us it is about " We Are The World" --- CIVIL RIGHTS and HEALTH CARE.

Have you noticed that the NUTS that are screaming they don't want health care for all are on MEDICARE right now?

What is the average IQ of a Republican in today's America -- I'd hate to guess.

What we are seeing now is the bottom of the barrel being in control of their party.

Go Democrats!

30. Me too Charles.....
....Obama is letting the health care reform run its course as it should be doing. The Repuks want no involvement. The battle is now between the different factions of the Democratic Party.

They (the blue dogs for example) know they are walking on egg shells. The bluedog dems and the more liberal republicans are tossing it around in their heads as we speak....and Obama knows this....he's a smart cookie and we should not second guess him. He's a scholar in Constitutional Law that many of us do not realize...he's letting government work the way it should be. Those who vear off could be voted out in the next election.

I betcha some of those conservatives are thinking twice about not voting for a good health plan, because they know their ass is possibly grass if the bill falls through.

Come 2010, there will be more dems to strengthen our positions. You just wait! I think those stupid right wingers will start trusting Obama!!!

42. I agree with you
Obama's track record in Life, and his words and demeanor feel "right" to use a vague word. I don't get any red flags about him, in other words. His past experiences show that he is a man concerned for what is best for People with a capital P.

Weird that so many here scream and poo on him, when the reality is, strategy must be hammered out by the House and Senate, written as a bill and then submitted to the Pres.

Geez, I'm FAR FAR FAR from a political wonk, but that concept is still obvious to me. It looks like a roller coaster because that's what happens when large groups of people try to agree on something.

I agree with efforts to contact Reps and the White House to make it clear that we want, and to attack the rw spin machine. I don't agree with the constant immediate gratification rants.

Not that we shouldn't constructively criticize when we feel he needs it, but he's way better than the Repukes!

I'd like single payer. I know it doesn't equal free, but it sure equals a lot more affordable. My philosophy is to strive to give everyone the necessities like health care, food, clothing, and shelter. You can earn what you can as long as you pay higher taxes the wealthier you get.

I'm unsure about Obama's policy towards banks.

I'd like to see the Patriot Act and warrantless wiretapping changed. And the Bush/Cheney crew investigated and indicted.

I'm very concerned about the Afghanistan conflict.

But we don't have the votes for single payer. Let's see how he handles banks once the economy gets moving. And the investigations/changes may occur after health care reform.

If we don't get a strong public option, I will have no choice but to be very disappointed. But the President has my support.

If a Repuke wins in 2012, this country might go completely down the tubes with no return. I believe he is our hope right now. Obama might be a spring board to a Kucinich some day if he's a big success.
