As far as I know, Congress is on holidays and President Obama is
pushing for a public option on medical care. Why are so many DUers feeling that the President will fail them on medicare, he promised the public option and he is trying his best! As far as I can see, a lot of Democrats in the House and Senate are not backing him, I really thought they would be backing him. Man, a lot of Democrats in the House and Senate are tantamount to being republicans.

I just hope President Obama can get the Public Option on Medical Care go through. So many are undermining him and I have to wonder why?

1. That's easy...
They'd lose the $$$ from the insurance people.

It seems our government representatives are bought and paid for by corporations and support them more than the common man.

2. My question is .... why are some Dems opposing the Public Option?
Don't the Dems in the House and Congress want a better medicare system for Americans?

3. Yes, I understand the question...
Many politicians are beholden to big business, despite their claims to the contrary. This includes, unfortunately, some Democrats.

4. That is really a shame, I thought that after so many Dems got in due to Howard Dean's
strategy, that most Dems will support President Obama. Guess I was wrong! The Dems who are opposing Public Option need to go!

8. this is pushing for a public option?
"President Barack Obama is willing to embrace insurance cooperatives over a government-run plan as the White House faces mounting opposition to its broad overhaul of the nation's health care system.

"Bowing to Republican pressure and offering political cover to fiscally conservative Democrats, Obama's administration signaled on Sunday that it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance."

11. I don't see any Obama quotes.....
Just some ol' Yahoo/AP mess!

The White House has spoken on this, and I believe them

However, the media wants you to believe them.

Then they want you to do this....
like a good gullible Blogger should.

13. you can tell his heart is in it . . . he is "fighting" for the option . . . it is so obvious
"All I'm saying is, though, that the public option, whether we have it or we don't have it, is not the entirety of health care reform," Obama said at a town hall meeting in Grand Junction, Colo. "This is just one sliver of it, one aspect of it."

gimme a break - he is selling out

10.  Obama said at a healthcare forum in Colorado that "the public option,
whether we have it or don't have it, is not the entirety of healthcare reform."
