Tell Ceci Connolly to go back to journalism school
Edited on Mon Aug-17-09 12:21 PM by Becky72

The Washington Post's Ceci Connolly, who has always been a terrible reporter, opened her news report today as follows: "Racing to regain control of the health-care debate, two top administration officials signaled Sunday that the White House may be willing to jettison a controversial government-run insurance plan favored by liberals."

By liberals? if by "liberals" you mean the 62% or more of adults in this country who support such plan, according to a poll conducted by her own freaking newspaper from June 18 to June 21, then I'm with her.

But these are not just liberals. They are 62% of adults, PERIOD. And there are several other polls that found similar results.

No wonder Connolly was going to host the now-defunct secret "salon" between the Washington Post big-shots and thef health industry barons.

With a press corps behaving like this, we can't win.

1. This weekend has taught me that we must start holding the media accountable
for their role in the debate.

Contact her, indeed!

2. I'd say it's no more "controversial" than giving control of our
health to for-profit, care-denying insurance companies. Now that's controversial!

3. Ask Ceci if she thought
the PhRMA gift bag known as Medicare Part D was controversial.

4. There's a lot of urinalism in the MSM these days.
We're right to be pissed off when they try to flush true reform down the drain.
