. . .somebody probably talked him into it. I understand that both of the guys with the AR-15's were Black, this stuff is just not happening. Is it some type of coordinated effort to see how the Secret Service and ATF respond in order to cause some type of Second Amendment controversy?

8. this was arizona, right? there are more guns than African-Americans in Az probably

we have to be there for business in february every year. no offense to arizonans, i feel less safe there than any other state! we mostly stay around 4th avenue in tucson, and a few other restaurants other mineral show people hang out in.

an anecdote, a friend of my dh was walking in south tucson to get some cigs, and a cop came up to him and asked if he had a gun. friend said no. cop said you should.

21. The one I saw interviewed wasn't from AZ.

He said he came to AZ from another state.

WRT demographics:
"According to 2006 U.S. Census estimates, Arizona's population is: 59.7% European American, 3.8% African American, 2.4% Asian American, 1.7% mixed, and 29.2% are Hispanics or Latino (of any race)."

Tucson's not too bad (I grew up there), though the gem show areas (around I-10, downtown,etc.) aren't the most crime-free... that being said, I'm pretty sure there are more guns in AZ than there are people *overall*. My house had 8 firearms for 5 people, and we knew how to shoot by age 8.

When we want to do something that's basically racist, we'll commonly look around for a black guy dumb enough to do it, and then hold him up to the crowd, saying "See! He's doing it too! So it's not racist!".

I always wonder how that black guy feels about himself afterwards.
