Heard a few minutes ago from Shuster: WH "insists President Obama prefers a public option."

Of course he does. You'd have to be moron not to. But preferring and insisting are simply not the same thing.

27. We literally are a handful of commitments short on the Senate.

Harry Reid should at least be able to manage a handful of Blue Dogs, that might be overestimating his abilities, but I think thats realistic.

Yet another post calling the President weak. I love these ya know why? Because it's all we heard from his primaries against Clinton right up to the general election against McCain and we all know how that turned out.

Whereas, every utterance of the President does. He is saying measured words publicly, and then will clamp down on Congress privately as the bill matures.

All of us who fknow that the public option is the ONLY way to go for real health care reform, real cost controls (if we can't have single payer) are very very nervous right now about losing it. The words being played with here, after all, are Shuster's, not Obama's.
