3. So, add in Byrd, Klobuchar, and Johnson and we are looking at 47 votes
However that depends on the health of Byrd and Kennedy. 3 more votes to get to 50 plus Biden (for reconciliation). Hmmm....where to look. There are some real idiots (Conservadems) in the "maybe" section. This is hard hence why Reid sucks. He can't rangle sheep together let alone the Dems in the Senate.

6. Cash erred on Klobuchar, Johnson and Collins.
Klobuchar and Johnson are on record in support and Collins is a maybe rather than a no. 538 put Bill Nelson, Byrd and Testor in the "supports public option" category.

According to my senator's office staff, there are now 53 senators committed to a public option but that includes both Kennedy and Byrd who may be too ill to make it to a vote.
