Good questions and very good answers by Obama. Blunt and understandable. At least Schmirnoff(joke, what's his name?) was civilized and that made the Q & A useful. Every little bit helps. It's hard to get through to those thick skulled repubs. I'm surrounded by them and I am totally unable to make a point with them. They are convinced that the blacks will take over and our economy will take a dive. One told me "just wait, you will see how our economy will go in the tank"..... couldn't get my point across that we were already in the tank?????

to mention, of course, that Obama has said the legislation must be 'revenue neutral' or he will not sign it.

he name Olympia Snowe, but he STILL includes Chuck Grassley! He's obviously going to force Grassley to show his true colors when he finally admits he doesn't want ANY reform! And he won't be able to blame Obama for not trying! :rofl:

35. I think it's strategic...
he MUST know all the things Grassley has been saying (about pulling the plug on grandma, etc.) but since he's part of the "Gang of 6" he's supposed to working for a bi-partisan bill which he obviously doesn't want. But with Obama's continued "optimism," Grassley's going to end up looking like a big obstructionist and Obama will be the good guy (which he is).
