Off the top of my head, this is what I can come up with (I know there are more that I am forgetting. *Please remind me of what's missing.)
Please excuse my ignorance. That is why I am asking for you to help me "get my shit together."

2. 8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers

Or maybe I should just delete this before it's too late, which it may be already.

My friend totally credits Obama with the fact that he and his disabled wife aren't on the streets.

The program readjusted his loan to where he can make the payments.

That's a huge impact on my friends. He knows i volunteered in the Obama campaign and he called me and thanked me when his new doable terms came through a couple of months ago.

I try to support what I see as the good things he's doing, and I try to oppose what I disagree with.

And I'm innately suspicious of anyone who sees Obama as evil, or of anyone who believes he is somehow above criticism or questioning.

Just think, all this happened in the FIRST SIX MONTHS of his Presidency and there is MORE to come, that is for sure.

It's not a big one, but at least it isn't tanking anymore.

but in trying answer his question came up with 2-3 things that obviously weren't done for liberals and shows them as if those were the only things Obama has done.

as if to say, I wonder what Obama has done for liberals, here's all I can come up with and now i'm scratching my head.

i don't like people talking to me like i'm stupid and even though the OP has sounded reasonable in subsequent posts, i really take issue with that kind of OP. it seems plain disingenuous.

after being unsure initially. I don't think anyone here is stupid. I freely admit my ignorance, and I also admit I scan posts or just read the title sometimes. I should know better, and will make a sincere effort to read any post I click on, even if they are long ones.
I have received some excellent responses here, and am better informed. Also, I can use what I have learned here to explain to other liberal Dems who think incorrectly (like I used to) that President Obama has done little or nothing for liberal Dems. I am heartened by the responses I have received here. Thank you everyone.:)

adherents to various religions in his inaugural address i found to be quite extraordinary.

I work in the construction industry for a general contractor out in the Western US. Late 2008 and early this year we had to lay off over 60 people out of 225 in a 5-6 month period. There were no commercial buildings being built..nothing. Maybe a small tenant improvement here or there. I don't know if it was the lack of credit or fear of the economy. For the last few months after the stimulus package, our bid list is full of government projects to bid. Air Force bases, schools, library, humans services offices, police stations, parks departments, etc. Commercial retail construction is still dead, but the Stimulus jobs are keeping us afloat until recovery and keeping 150+ people employed.

I get so angry at the people who gripe about the stimulus, saying it's not working, not doing anything, blah blah.IT IS WORKING.
