The President is willing to be a one termer if it gets health care passed!

Cripes, that is putting it out there. So listen up folks, you know how much I admire the President. I put in a good year in Iowa to get him elected, in my small way.

So lets give it up for someone so committed to getting us there, where no one else could, even if it means giving up the greatest power in the world. How is that in comparison to what Ridge is writing about, people using terror to keep power?

So, indulge me a moment.. (to all the lurking righties looking in, this is a why I have supported this man from day one. Integrity.)

And he knows perfectly well that he will get a second term because nobody's going to vote away public health care benefits. He's not going out on THAT narrow a limb.

To be blunt, 89% of DU has gone to shit because of this mindset. Would it kill people to be positive? And this is coming from a person who is quite cynical.

I really do, and I can say this with complete confidence that I'm not one of the dreaded and accused, 'Kool Aid' drinkers. Personally, he should put everything on the line, and I'd be willing to bet that he would seal his second term by doing so.
