60 percent of Blue Dog Jim Cooper뭩 constituents disapprove of his actions on health care.

Blue Dog Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) has long been viewed by many progressives as a �uniquely pernicious� opponent of health care reform. Now, a Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll has found that 60 percent of his constituents disapprove of his handling of the health care issue:

The poll also goes on to find that 61 percent of his constituents support the creation of a new public insurance plan that anyone can purchase. Cooper will be appearing with Karl Rove and other conservatives this Saturday at a conference titled �The Third Rail of Healthcare Reform: Cost,� yet he has shied away from holding a town hall meeting with his constituents.

Definitely needs to lose his seat.

1. But I have no doubt that 100% of his big money sources approve of his actions.

He's not interested in passing legislation that supports or protects his constituents. He wants only to perpetuate the tradition of fixing policy around the demands of his corporate paymasters.

Too many of our elected representatives, Ds and Rs, do nothing but gorge themselves on our tax dollars and make deals that ensure they'll never have to yank their heads out of the trough. Cooper needs to lose more than his seat, and he's not the only one.
