Dear President Obama: Pick up the torch that was passed from John, to Bobby, to Teddy
You'll never again have the opportunity that you have right now to pass universal health care. Don't tell us why it can't be done. Just do it.

1. Didn't Ted say once that the reason he endorsed Obama
was that he saw some of Jack in him? I believe it's true--he does have some of the JFK magic.

2. I believe he picked up that torch last year.
My understanding is that Ethel Kennedy whispered to Barack Obama at the funeral of Coretta Scott King that the torch was passing to him.

I don't think there's a hint that President Obama is NOT going full-tilt for heathcare reform this year. I've heard he's prepared to be a one-term president to push it through, whether by arm-twisting, reconciliation, shaming, you name it. I fully expect an Obama appeal to a joint session of Congress this fall.

Remember, we can't know everything that's going on in the political strategies -- it's like war plans. I'm willing to let my president do his thing in his own way, and ultimately sign the Edward M. Kennedy National Healthcare Act of 2009.

4. The TIME Has Come... IF The Statement Is True, Then I Want To See
him PUSH BACK, and PUSH BACK hard! Tell his OWN party to get OFF THE DIME, and UNITE as ONE PARTY for all of us!!!

Repukes AREN'T going to get on board, and I can't buy the Bi-Partisan crap any longer!! Sounds good, but I've SEEN nothing to see it will ever happen. In fact, it seems worse than ever!

Obama is the President of the United States. He will never again have the opportunity to pass a meaningful health care reform bill than that which he has right now.

So here's my message to our president. Lead us out of the dark place in which we have been for far too long.

Once Obama has passed a meaningful health care program, we can alway send Feingold to the Hague to stand trial for crimes against health care.

10. No reason to use hyperbole...the poster was speaking
the facts. Feingold said it couldn't be done and then he backtracked.

President Obama has been saying it will be done and he needs our help..which many many many are going out in the streets to give him.

7. This torch has now been passed to Barack Obama.
After decades of this rough journey, all roads have now converged into the historic opportunity of making universal, single-payer health care for all Americans, as part of our children's heritage.

This is our future history, squarely facing us. Will we rise to it?

9. He knows this and he's not saying "why it can't be done"
he's saying it can be done.

Thank you President Obama for being there for us.
