and vets from IVAW.

The mood was exuberant and thoughtful.

But ending the war and the oppression of women and the horrors for veterans of the Bush wars and the deaths of civilians; these were all also very very heavy on our minds, even while most of us were exultant.

Yes we can!

But WILL we?

Will we?

It remains to be seen and it is not at all clear if the worse crimes of Bush and his Fourth Reich can or will be undone or justice served for these treasonous Nazis.

9. It was awesome and awe-inspiring
but there was a somberness of concern that it might all be a mirage.

Unfortunately with respect to Afghanistan the hope seems to have been not even a mirage but a serious error...

but I am holding out hope against hope.

13. I still have it saved on my TIVO. I tried to burn it on DVD, but it's
copyrighted so I'm never deleting it!

I also still have that incredible "We Are One" Celebration the night before inauguration. That was so amazing with such great music and artists! I'm never deleting that sucker either!

16. The night before I slept in the Freedom Cage with the IVAW protesters
We were happy that Obama agreed to have his reps meet with the protesting veterans (against the war) but hated the fact that Obama had not fought for us not to be ket under armed guard with klieg lights and infested water and diesel generators spewing noxious smoke (to power the noisy generators for the klieg lights).

It was revolting that America allowed that. That Bush forced it and that Obama did not raise a peep about the treatment of our war veterans trying to be heard but relegated to a socalled "freed speech zone" in cages and with weapons surrounding us. Sleeping on hot asphalt in a parking light where no one could see or hear us.

I was mad at Obama about tht but happy he was alive and going on as a canddte I could suport nevertheless.

But his war policies are still unenlightened and regressive (not to mention capitalist/fascist and imperialist).

Even with that I still have hope.

But it is very very hard and only time will tell if he is just another Clinton in many ways (either of them).
