4. Aw cheer up
We wanted a nationalized health care system, so they'll give us mandated insurance coverage.

What more could we ask for?

5. Watching Hardball at the moment.
It seems to me that David Gregory and Ron Brownstein are basically saying that the Obama will tell Congress that the public option is off the table.

Translation: A party in the minority that has a whopping 21% of the electorate identifying with it will be told that they are in charge.

6. Already started.
Usual suspects. Some claim it was a fix from the start. Some claim it is manna from heaven.

Most of us know it is just the same old bs.

8. And I can't wait till something passes so half the peeps here can call it
a failed attempt and a corporate sellout and further imply that McCain and Mooselini would prolly have done a better job.

12. We should be arguing about why rethugs never even considered
promoting their own bill. That too should be part of the discussion, but it's not.

14. I know, lets not bother trying to do health reform...vote Obama out in 3 years, and get a Rethug in
to punish the Dems. THEN we will be all ready to do reform again, right?

As someone with a pre-existing condition who wants at the very least that to be the health reform bill I want something...anything passed. I have more to worry about then how pure Dems are. I want a bill THIS YEAR.

16. because calling them Democrats would be an insult to those who held
actual Democratic Party principles, those like McGovern, Kennedy, Wellstone, et al. The Democratic Party was taken over by neocons at the same time as the repuke party. They call themselves "DLC" or "centrist," but they're really neocons.

And "democrats" excludes the few remaining Democrats in national office.
