Health Care vigil I attended this evening....

I went to my first Health Care rally tonight, which was in support of the National vigil by MoveOn.

I got there around 7 and it was not to start until 7:30, so we held signs up out in front of the Courthouse. The Young Democrats from the local university brought signs and so did the organizer of the event. The young lady who made the signs, well, she made them in a hurry and I had to point out to her, twice, that they were misspelled. I could not let her hold those signs that gave me flashes of past freeper signs, with all there misspellings. I am not for the "Pubic Option" or "Heath Care", it seems she had a something against the letter L.

While we held our signs, we received a lot of honks and thumbs up, there were a few Debbie-downers that drove past and no teabaggers invaded our event. One lady talked about her health care she received in Italy while visiting her daughter you was also receiving care in Italy and co-worker of fine encouraged people to not focus on the nuts but to work against the insurance industry and retaliate against them, since they are to core problem of this issue.

I would like to have seen 200 people there, but I am glad for those who did show up in support of real health care reform.

There was about 150 of us and we watched the sun set in the Pacific and then had a little candlit ceremony -

There were a dozen idiots in a counter demonstration but we politely ignored them.


We had a general discussion and towards the end some idiot gave a speech how the public option inhances the basic market approach and is improving capitalism and not socialistic at all and after I finished the newspaper reporter came over and interviewed me.

and the terrible companies that prey on the childrens??

no one stood to lose an eye (lol) but it was funny that it happened almost immediately after i asked for you to illuminate my grey matter.
