Blowhard Athlete Hints at potential Senate Candidacy (Teddy's Seat)
Potential Senate candidacy 09.02.09 at 2:33 pm ET
By Curt Schilling

While my family is obviously the priority, and 38 Studios is a priority, I do have some interest in the possibility. That being said, to get to there from where I am today, many many things would have to align themselves for that to truly happen. I am not going to comment further on the matter since at this point it would be speculation on top of speculation.

My hope is that whatever happens, and whomever it happens to, this state makes the decision and chooses the best person, regardless of sex, race, religion or political affiliation, to help get this state back to the place it deserves to be.

2. Massachusetts is not Kentucky or Oklahoma.
He has no chance. Period.

As this story takes hold, you will no doubt hear about Jim Bunning being elected Senator in Kentucky, Steve Largent being elected to the House in Oklahoma, or Bill Bradley being elected Senator in New Jersey. Bradley was a Princeton-educated Rhodes Scholar. Bunning and Largent are morons, but won because they were popular sports figures and hard-core fundies (like Schilling in both respects). I can see that kind of bamboozelment going over in Oklahoma and Kentucky, but no way in hell it works in Massachusetts. Schilling may generate some early buzz, but once that wears off he's doomed.

6. Agreed. Better yet, why is there still a Presidential forum?
There's no Presidential election anymore, so what's the point? Is it to talk about any topic related to President Obama?
