so hard to do. Thank goodness they are a minority of the Democratic party. I'd say about 10%, but they are awfully loud.

23. Jesus Christ on a cracker - Cliffordu takes a day off and Keith Olberman has

a psychotic episode.

The fine balance of the universe summed up in Chaotic Theory has been undone. You know the "Butterfly Effect".

Just wait when that bastard gets back it will turn out that he spent all day catching butterflies. That aggravated the fauna in the area that caused a bear to go into Port Townsend, which resulted in a miscommunication with the Governor that Mount St Helens was "moving like a bear".

The resulting call to FEMA required that the President to get the message. In a fit of anger he said "We should just blow it up" referring to Mount St Helens. An intern thought that he was referring to the Public Option and texted her boyfriend whose older sister works as a producer for Countdown.

The message was passed and it blew a vessel in Keith Olbermann's left side causing him to rant as if he had lost his mind.

Nice going Cliffodu, way to fuck up again.

39. Look at what you've done.
I just want you to look around this place and reflect on the mess you started.

Even Keith Olbermann was in a state yesterday over I don't know what because I was left to settle things down.

So just reflect.

28. I disagree with your chain of events.
Edited on Fri Sep-04-09 01:32 AM by RandomThoughts
But I do agree if you let someones anger into you, then it will come back out, many times at the person, sometimes at other people. I think Olbermann's rant was in comedy, did not seem to be angry or crazy although people have many different views on his comments.

Some people are really easy to point out things about them, but sometimes it just keeps the conversation away from more important things. I personally think pointing out some peoples imbalance might lead people to think more on things like that, and might help them realize correlation is not always causation, so my personal opinion is that Keith's comments seem to have a purpose.

But you are right that stuff spreads. Say you are at work and someone yells at you for no reason. Then you go home and for 15 minutes you take that anger given to you and spew out complaints and rants. If a person gets you angry, and you take it in, many times your response is less then accurate. If you can hear a comment and not take in the anger or snideness of it, you can respond without anger. Keith did not seem angry, but there are other things besides anger, so it is an interesting thought that you posted.

Edit: heh, I watched his ending segment so I am talking about that part, you might be talking about a different segment of Countdown.

11. Policies are third or fourth on my list of what I look for in a politician
You can have someone with great ideas/policies, who could never ever get any of them passed if they were in charge, for a number of reasons. And not because of the policies themselves. Congress is full of them, with Kucinich coming to mind.

13. George Bush got an assload passed
But his policies sucked. Still, people wanted to have a beer with the little shit.

Americans need to get their heads out of their ass and realize that politicians' policies impact their lives much more than their smiles.

18. To paraphrase Bill Maher, I wish Obama would act more like Bush
Bush was a really horrible person with really crappy ideas, but the guy knew how to play the system without compromise. You can come out with great policies (i.e the public option) but you're never going to get them passed on account of their own virtues. You need to have more qualities than just good ideas.

25. Yes, lets return to the days of the unitary executive with no accountability
NO president should be allowed to cram stuff through Congress they way Bush did. Cheney directed the Rethugs in Congress how to act probably with threats and bribes...yes, lets return to that. :sarcasm:

different candidates in the primaries but are getting along now are the ones who want what's best for their country not their ego.

The same for President Obama and SOS Hillary.:patriot::patriot:
