Cheney at KY high school: "Get an Education" (2000)

Article: CHENEY TO KIDS: GET AN EDUCATION BUSH RUNNING MATE VISITS KENTUCKY SCHOOL.(NEWS)

Article from:
The Kentucky Post (Covington, KY)
Article date:
August 11, 2000
Author:
Collins, Michael Copyright

"A hot and crowded high school gymnasium in Anderson County served as the political backdrop Thursday for vice presidential candidate Dick Cheney to spotlight the Republican ticket's policies on education.

Cheney spoke just 13 minutes and talked only in general terms about how he and the GOP presidential nominee, Texas Gov. George W. Bush, would go about improving the nation's schools.

He said there is no issue more important than education in this year's presidential election. And he told students that the way to be successful in life is to stay in school"
