Could we just wait for the speech and listen? This place is acting
just like the MSM...yap, yap, yap to fill the space. If all these posters are so sure of what O is going to say, why don't we just pack up and pack it in? I am not making any judgments on this until I hear it from O's mouth and then I'm going to decide what he said and I'm not going to let some asshole talking head tell me what he said. Sorry, I'm just dead sick of all the hype and speculation.

14. I've had a chance to surf my usual liberal sites...
and I have to say, it appears that people are freaking out just a tad. I guess we'll see if all the lamenting is justified. I expect sack cloth and ashes next. Hell, I'll be wearing that outfit myself if President Obama doesn't come through with a decent health care bill. I'm betting he will.

15. Yeah, message boards are great places at times like this...
imo it's fun to talk about all the possiblities. Also good for people to express their angst ~ makes it easier sometimes.

I want this bill to succeed for a lot of reasons, one of which is the energy bill coming up. If we cave on this, we'll be in big trouble on that one.

I'm mentally slapping a lot of people right now (you know, the 'snap out of it' slap they do in old movies all the time). Jesus fuck. I wouldn't want to be in a disaster movie with some of the hand wringing posters here. I'm too old for angst.
