The right wing blogosphere and media machine hate pimps claim 2 million on 9/12

I was listening to our local "mini" Rush Limbaugh this morning and his entire show was devoted to calling any media that was not reporting at least 2 million in attendance at the 9/12/09 march in D.C. are lying. He repeatedly told his audience that the United States Park Police estimated the size of the crowd a 2.1 million. I looked on the Internet and could find nothing to support that claim. The United States Park Police web site has no info I could find.

In the middle of his 3 hour anti-everything-liberal hate fest, he had Indiana Represenatative Mike Pence on as his guest. Pence gave a speech at the event and he said he did not know how many were there, but he offered it was as least as many people as were at the 2000 & 2004 Inaugurations of GW "Smirky" Bush. Pence is one of the more dangerous right-wingers as he is a good speaker and evil smart. There is no doubt that he also believes himslef to be the next GOP saviour.

2 million? Let's see, the Metro didn't report any extra burden on it's system(s). There were no endless rows of porta potties, etc.

In their dreams.

And that's the truth.

Drive down state highways in his district and you see hundreds of those red "No More" signs in rural front yards.
If we could just get all the Ball State students to vote that might help.

FreedomWorks was interviewed on MSNBC and claimed it was "hundreds of thousands." So even HE didn't say "millions" were there. The D.C. police estimated 60,000.

The D.C. police won't make estimates.

The Park Police stopped giving estimates when Farrakhan threated to sue after it estimated 400,000 for the million man march.
