PICS: Daddy's Home! Malia, Sasha, and Bo Greet POTUS
US President Barack Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia play with their dog Bo as they wait for the Marine One presidential helicopter to land on the South Lawn of the White House upon their father's return to the White House in Washington on September 15, 2009 following a trip to Ohio and Pennsylvania.

3. Terrible, just terrible
These young women are wearing flip-flops at the White House! Don't they have more respect for the Presidency than to have their half naked feet showing! :spank: Why you would never see the Bush twins standing around in flip-flops. They might be passed out under the table somewhere, but at least they would have proper designer footwear, not something they found at the dollar store.

7. No way to decide which is sweeter. The girls waiting for their daddy?
The dog who loves his girls? The daddy who is so happy to see his daughters? Just too much sweetness.

11. What are They Feeding Malia at the White House?
She's going to be taller than her parents pretty soon. Sasha is the most adorable child ever. I love the picture of the President trying not to trip over Bo. My doggie does the same thing, she's so excited when I come home that she's running around my feet.

14. How old is Malia again?
She is getting to be quite close to dad in height. The pictures are adorable, the whole bunch (Bo belly up is priceless :-)), but I cannot stop from wondering how far the photographers are when these pictures are taken? Do these kids, not to mention their parents, have any privacy except behind a small number of closed doors? Not that they seem to mind by the way, they all seem perfectly at home, but still....

18. WH Photographers are usually good at knowing when to take
pics and when to respect the President & First Family's privacy. The Obama girls get more privacy and balanced home life than Jon & Kate +8 brood. I'm not worried about their privacy. The president & Michelle are handling it great.

How about a book for kids about how to be a good citizen and help your country, planet, and fellow creatures, that should make the wingnuts even crazier.

27. Thanks, you made my night!
I grew up in an incredibly dysfunctional family. I love seeing these pics because it reminds me how real families operate.
Under the most intense scrutiny that could be brought to bear, our President and First Lady are doing an amazing job raising two wonderfully normal young women.
:grouphug: I love watching their family dynamic. The younger sister trying to get either her dog's or her sister's attention. Wearing flip-flops and bright colors. Malia playing with Bo and then holding him back so that Sasha could get the first hug. It is the look on our President's face when he hugs them that says it all.
This makes me cry happy tears!

28. a minor point, but... why is Bo ALWAYS on a (usually) SHORT leash??

i hope they let him run free when the photographers are not around.

i don't like to see him ALWAYS on a leash, in every single picture of him i've ever seen.
