Carter only won 6 states, but lost the most liberal one. I do care.

4. It's tough being out of power, isn't it?
There, there. Being a shrinking regional party of extremists isn't so bad, really. *pats Progressivism's head*

What does that mean ?

I believe the world would be a much better place if Carter won in 1980.

7. Carter would have done a lot better...
Regan would probably still have won, but the Kennedy challenge was the kiss of death for Carter, sadly.

10. I think many perceived Anderson as more liberal than Carter
Carter was a pretty conservative Democrat. Anderson one of the now extinct liberal/moderate Republicans. I came very close to voting for him - but stopped only because I thought it would be a close race between Reagan and Carter.
