Hogan to test waters for Md. governor's race

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Republican Larry Hogan is exploring a run for governor in Maryland.

Hogan says he would back former Gov. Robert Ehrlich if he decides to run. However, Hogan says he's going to test the waters for support in the event that Ehrlich decides against a rematch with Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley in 2010.

Hogan says he plans to launch a "Hogan for Maryland" committee on Tuesday to begin gauging support.

Hogan served as Maryland's secretary of appointments in Ehrlich's cabinet. He also ran against Rep. Steny Hoyer in 1992, picking up about 44 percent of the vote.

Baltimore County Delegate Patrick McDonough and attorney Mike Pappas also are running for the GOP nomination in the governor's race.

we learned our lesson with Ehrlich. All he did was raise fees for all services and increase the tuition at the state universities. Unless there is a lot of anti-democratic sentiment in the outlying counties and low turnout in the metropolitan counties, I don't see it happening.

That we voted for that Jackass over Kathleen Kennedy-Towson.

My moms a registered republican and she chalked it up to sexism.

I think we have to admit she was a poor candidate...and Glendening's mid-life crisis where he divorced his wife and married his young staff member at the end of his term didn't help her either.

Regardless of gender or campaign savvy, I believe Marylanders have learned their lesson about voting for republican governors.

Since I watched wrestling a lot with my dad when I was a kid...

During Hogan's matches, when he had the tables turned on him and started getting the crap beat out of him, he would invariably be down on his knees, floating near unconsciousness, when his opponent would punch him in the head, and MIRACULOUSLY he would shake it off and glare up at his opponent, who would be surprised and hit Hulk again. This would make the Hulk jump up to his feet. His opponent would hit him again, and Hulk would be wide awake and jog around in a little circle to shake it off, and when the opponent went to hit him again, Hulk... Hulk, man, would somehow catch the swing and hold onto his opponent's arm! Now he would be glaring, wide awake at his opponent while shaking the finger of his free hand while mouthing, "No," before hitting his opponent and turning the tides!

I want to see the equivalent of that in a debate.
