Chris Wallace (FauxNews Hack) On White House: “Biggest Bunch Of Crybabies I’ve Seen”
Chris Wallace On White House: “Biggest Bunch Of Crybabies I’ve Seen”
by Colby Hall | 8:22 am, September 19th, 2009

President Barack Obama is making all the media rounds this weekend, going on five Sunday news programs to drum up support for his health care reform. One network not included in his very busy schedule? Fox News. Last night Bill O’Reilly had the host of “Fox News Sunday” Chris Wallace on to discuss the White House’s decision to exclude FNC from Obama’s Sunday tour, and while Wallace seemed to want to take the high road, it got a little juvenile.
Oh the irony. Just after saying just “how petty” this White House is and how it’s nothing like the Reagan Administration, Fox’s Wallace called the Obama administration “the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.” So much for the high road.

Later in the segment O’Reilly repeatedly made the point (made here before) that Obama is making a big mistake by snubbing Fox News. As we’ve said before, the real debate on health care is between the White House and Fox News.

Attacks on the Obama administration are not uncommon on Fox News, but accusations of bias are often rebutted with the claim that FNC’s primetime hosts are “analysts” or “commenters”, not journalists, and hold themselves to a different standard. It’s worth noting that Chris Wallace is regarded as one of the premier television journalists, not just for Fox, but across the industry. Which makes his comment all the more stunning.

1. Faux does not report the news, they express an agenda.
I think Rick Sanchez made that clear when he slammed them yesterday. So screw them.
Talk about crybabies. I thought they hated Obama...why would they want him on, for ratings maybe?

then make one minor criticism of a Republican and claim "fair and balanced". Disgusting.

Thanks Mr. President. Freeze them out until they shape up. :patriot:

.... each network who interviewed the President was allowed to release ONE soundbite. I believe ALL of them have released a clip of him addressing the racism issue (AGAIN we are off on a tangent) and not the matter at hand.

Of course, this time, we have aided in that distraction.

We need to keep our eyes on the prize.

Fox is not a news organization. It's just another propaganda outlet for the GOP. And Chris Wallace is no journalist. He's a paid liar. And a punk.

12. IF the Obama Adminsitration is smart, they will cut Faux off entirely
Put them to the very back of the room for the press corps and nobody, not even a lowly intern, is to ever give them an interview.

Faux viewers are now and will always be opposed to the Obama administration and there is not thing one the Obama administration can ever hope to do in order to alter that reality.

Fox can be ignored by the White House as there is nothing that can be done to change the agenda of Fox, so there is no need to cooperate whatever.

He starts at a million, goes quickly to hundreds of thousands, then is corrected by O'Reilly down to 70K and stays there. To paraphrase Terry Moran, "now THAT'S professionalism!"

20. If Wallace wants to be a news journalist, he's going to have to
work for an actual news organization. Despite Fox News' name, it most definitely is not a news organization.

Cry a little harder Wallace and see if that helps your pitiful plight.

29. Obama did the correct thing with Fox. Hopefully, he will begin playing hardball with the GOP, too.
Big points for the White House.

Journalists know all too well about the pathology at Fox News. That's why they all laughed at Obama's crack "apologies to the Fox table" at the WH Correspondents Dinner.

This snub, I think, further puts Fox into the "crazy" corner among journalists.

Good for Barack.

34. Fox is a Republican propaganda station
Edited on Sat Sep-19-09 06:45 PM by Hansel
If they want the president to take them seriously as a news station, they need to change their mission from promoting the extreme right wing of the Republican party and lying about and distorting everything that President Obama does and says, to being a news station.

Why should Obama waste his time? Fox viewers are so jaded at this point there is no reaching them. He should use his time appealing to those who will listen and can be persuaded.

Chris Wallace can whine all he wants. He's now preaching to the choir. Their effectiveness has run its course and the rest of the country is moving on past them. Couple that with the huge strategic blunder in attacking all of the other news stations with their asinine and untruthful ad. They have really boxed themselves into a niche they will not be able to expand upon.

Edit: spelling

38. FOX can't handle that this administration doesn't use them for their propaganda.
How many exclusive interviews did the Bush administration get with FOX? How about CNN? How about MSNBC?

They generally stuck with FOX. Sometimes Cheney would go on Meet the Press, but nearly every interview Bush did - especially if it was on cable - aired on FOX.

Why?

No interviews! If Congressmen or Senators want to go on, they can, but the White House has so much more to handle than go on Fox and answer ridiculous questions from Clusterfaux's so called journalists.

If the whole of the media was a person, Faux is a gangrenous foot that unfortunately has to be removed.

Start playing hardball mr president, they're going to hate you no matter what.
