Maybe the Republicans have something on Kerry?
I keep thinking of all the videoclips and quotes we've seen that are not in wide circulation--"Feels good," "I call you 'my base,'" "Where are those WMDs?" "I don't have to explain myself to anybody"--and wonder why the Kerry team doesn't use them in campaign ads. The "I call you 'my base'" clip alone should be enough to sink Bush if played on national TV.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Republicans have something on Kerry, and they said, "Don't go there, and we won't go here." It just seems insane not to edit all those clips together and add "Bush when you're not looking--do you really want him running your life for four more years?"

2. GOP has been after Kerry for over 30 years. They haven't been able to
bring him down yet. I doubt they have anything. They would have used it when he was exposing them during BCCI and IranContra which were impeachable crimes.

7. I suppose so . . .
Of course, it could be something more along the lines of "We'll kill your daughters."

As for the rest of you, mockery is not an argument.

18. And pointless speculation
is not campaigning.

Why don't you go out and do something positive to help Kerry win?

21. How do you know I'm not?
Actually, all I can do is write (I have Asperger's syndrome, so I can't do canvassing and phone calls and so on), but I'm doing that.

And even if I wasn't, how would you know?

Your indulging in an assertion far more speculative than mine.

28. The fact that you're sitting here engaging in pointless speculation.....
.....rather than something productive might be a clue.

Perhaps your next thread might be a little more productive. :)

We can only hope.

As for DU, there are rules here, and while we know that Republicans believe that rules aren't made for them, that's not the case with DU.

Bye, freeper.

36. Try the Yahoo boards, they may be more your intellectual style.....
.....we actually have work to do here and dumbing it down for you is counter productive to our efforts. Sorry to be so blunt about it but time before the election is short and the amount of work we have ahead of us to keep you from becoming 'cannon fodder' for Bush's plan to invade Iran and N. Korea is massive.

In other words, don't go away mad, just go away. You're not helping.

6. Probably not, but....
I continue to wonder why we don't see Shrub at his worst on any of the 527 ads. Seems a natural to me.

Tells me I need to organize a 527 before we see "sweet cute Katherine" in her attempt to unseat Senator Nelson in 06

Clicked on the wrong link should've been a response to the person talking about they would've used it sooner.

As for not effective, I really don't see how it could not be effective to show the "common people" the lack of respect Bush has for them, especially when so many of them are voting for him because they'd like to have a beer with him.

9. if they had something on Kerry
I'm sure they'd have no compunction about smearing it everywhere.

But your point is valid-- there is SO much RICH material about what a lying, stupid, mendacious, arrogant, bloodthirsty POS Bush is.

Why the fuck don't they USE it?!?

11. maybe it's a class thing...
bush is a joke: that's a given...he and his maniacs are shitting in the nest; also a given. the problem is, he must be removed using certain criteria, the main being DO NOT EXCITE CLASS HATRED!
I think Kerry's caught in that bind, as was Al Gore, Clinton, dukakis even going back to Kennedy era. what's ironic is that bush jr is so obviously succeeding because of the crude and ugly appeal to OUR PEOPLE ie workingclass wage slaves who chose to believe cnn/fox etc
>the english had buckinham (sp) palace fumigated after 'that troll' and his horrid entourage smelled the place up lol!
remember also, the upper classes mostly despise racism (which is fuel to the gop/mediawhores etc)

12. The Repugs keep saying everyone thought that Iraq had WMD's. I don't
Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 09:03 AM by doc03
understand why in the hell they don't use the Colon Bowell and Rice quotes about Iraq not having them and that Iraq was no threat to the US. Or Hans Blix and Scott Ritter saying the same thing. Why don't they use Bush 41's words from his book warning of the mess we would have been in if we would have taken Baghdad in 1991. I swear I could run a better ad campaign than Kerry's people. The Repugs have played Kerry's testimony to Congress about Vietnam and the I voted for it after voting against it constantly. Bush in 2000 saying he wasn't getting into nation building. It's all there why don't they just use their own quotes against them? This campaign better wake up and soon!

The bashing of his military career proved that. It was all lies. If Kerry had any problems you would have seen it by now. Quit wishing for bad luck while knocking on wood.

Correct. THAT would be the monkey's specialty. OTOH, I should give credit where credit is due... the monkey does seem to have a knack for death, destruction, and deficits. A D student, indeed.

stuff up. Rove is the master of dirty tricks - believe me he'd use anything he could find. Unfortunately for KKKarl, Kerry is an honorable man who has acted on his convictions his whole life. Rove must be crying in his Cornflakes that Kerry is such a choir boy.

25. actually I feeling good about kerry for the first time. I really have the
feeling that kerry is going to win. don't know why, but I just do. Kerry just needs to keep hammering away, a chip here, a chip there, bush is already falling back to earth. and this short period of time before the election might just work in kerry's favor.

but of course kerry and edwards need to avoid stumble at this point, but other than that just keep working. no more vaction's, with surf boards, and bicycles.

35. Here's what they have on Kerry.
He didn't deserve his purple hearts because he didn't bleed enough.
He made the irresponsible assertion that atrocities were committed in Viet Nam.
One of the guys he killed in Nam was just a teen ager with a rocket launcher.
He voted to give the President the authority to scare Iraq into complying with UN resolutions.
He married a woman who had inherited a lot of money.
He windsurfs.
He's a flip-flopper, because he voted to make someone actually pay the costs of the Iraq War, other than our children.
He gets good haircuts and they cost more than mine do.
He claims to have invented the internet.
There may be one or two I've missed.
