Sean Hannity Discussion Board Encourages Terrorism
Edited on Wed Sep-30-09 06:59 PM by TheBigotBasher

Of course, when the far right do this, it is not terrorism. Overthrowing a democratically elected Government is only terrorism when brown, bearded people do it.

Fox is mad, wrong and dangerous.

12. Sedition, probably, under the Smith Act.
Treason is really, reaaaaally narrowly defined in the US Constitution.

13. the smith act is an odious piece of legislation that has gone virtually unused

for the last 50 plus years. Its appalling that anyone on a progressive board would advocate its revival given its history. I recommend to your attention the dissents of William O Douglas and Hugo Black in Dennis v. US (1951)

14. I don't think he was advocating it....
just clarifying a previous post.

I just wish the Left would speak up against the inanity of Hannity and others when they pull this shit. They never hesitated to cry "unpatriotic" at the slightest questioning of Bush. Their screeds and deeds need the same scrutiny.

15. Wasn't advocating it. Pointing out that treason has a very specific definition.
And that this, if it is a crime, is something else entirely. I'm tired of people using the word "treason" loosely. I was tired of it in the Bush years and I'm tired of it now.

4. This is not funny
The right is starting to openly conspire to overthrow the government. It is more than past time to shut down the wingnuts. Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, all of them. They need to be shut down. A free society just can't tolerate this kind of thing.

5. The irony of this is that they feel safe in doing this kind of thing
because they HAVE the freedoms they claim are being destroyed under Obama.

6. Can you imagine if there was
"terrorism" encouraged against the bush regime while they were starting a misbegotten war on Iraq?

What's the difference between an "Armed Rebellion" and a "War for Seccession"?

The Civil War was BOTH.

11. Is this a poll posted by a user, or an official poll from his website?...
Edited on Wed Sep-30-09 08:41 PM by JBoris
And if it was a user posted poll, was it deleted?
