1. If we were SNL writers, we might tie in Rush being picked to judge beauty contest
Edited on Fri Oct-09-09 02:54 PM by havocmom
and have 'Obama' show up in an evening gown, blowing kisses to him.

(can't help myself, having too good a time today, and haven't had anything stronger than cocoa to drink)

edited to add: 'Obama' and a few RAM football players! Na na na naaaa blow goodbye kisses to Rush

2. The only good thing SNL has done in twenty years is Tina Fey doing Palin. nt

4. you're obviously forgetting Dana Carvey's 2fer of Bush Sr. and Ross Perot
You obviously don't remember Will Ferrel's GW Bush or Darryl Hammond as Clinton coming out to the Rose Garden to say "I...am....bulltproof." and then walking away from the podium.

There's been a lot of dross....but much to like about SNL over the years even from just a political perspective let alone all the great non political stuff involving Alec Baldwin, Justin Timberlake, etc.

12. A blind, deaf, and dumb chimp could have put Tina Fey and Sarah Palin together.
SNL jumped the shark when Al Franken left the show.

3. A few minutes after seeing he won the Nobel Peace Prize, I thought about that.
Edited on Fri Oct-09-09 02:56 PM by jenmito
You just KNOW they'll make fun of him winning. Maybe they'll mock him by announcing him the winner of other awards like the emmys, the tonys, or other awards that he's not even involved in. But I'm sure they'll do something.

5. All they'd have to do, I think, is show new troops disembarking from a transport in Af-pak
or as some of us know it, the Malabar Front.

Should be all that's required - brevity an' all that.

6. Hey, SNL can do a funn sketch, and Obama, himself, will laugh!
I have no problems with them making fun, that's their job.

7. If they are really clever ...

... they will skewer themselves.

{tossing idea off top of his head} They could start another sketch along the lines of last week's, then have someone come running in with the news that healthcare reform is expected to be completed soon. Then have that person interrupted by someone running in with the Nobel prize.

8. Oh, they'll take their cues from our resident Obama haters and the Freepers.
That oughta do it.

13. SNL mocked Al Gore for the nobel. They said he was vain and egotistical
I think they'll probably keep up the "He hasn't accomplished anything" line for Obama.

14. Oh, I'm sure they'll find a way to skewer him for it.
Or, they may do a "messiah" skit and skewer the right. They need to do a Joe/Mika skit. Those imbeciles are always good for a laugh. I can't believe they haven't done them already!
