Maybe it's way past time you all fix this wee Pravda problem you have...

1. We here at DU have always known this.
It's the rest of the populace that is still slowly coming around.

The curious know.

Those who don't "do" politics.. (Like some don't "do" knitting, for instance) will not find out until their grandchildren tell them, years from now.

4. Why don't you back off and realize
that no one here was dumb enough to believe that?

5. No, but there are plenty here dumb enough to believe rumors
spread by "anonymous sources".

6. LIHOP and MIHOP, on the other hand?
People believe really weird things, especially in societies that encourage thinking unguided by logic or reason.

8. Bullshit.

I, and many other longtime DUers, argued with DUers (even longtime ones) who did believe it.

Did you miss it all?

Anyways, I wasn't posting accusing DUers of anything; I posted a FACT. Two FACTS, in fact.

And a third FACT; it's way beyond time to get rid of the pravda problem in America.

7. We have a fair, and balanced, media!
If Pravda reports it wrong, we can get the truth from Izvestia or Trud!

10. it makes sense
and what's really sad is that that same percentage still buy the bullshit coming from MSM about Obama. And then, days later or weeks later, when proven wrong, no one bothers to reflect upon how they got there. Perhaps if that percentage would pause to question the "reports" about Obama before going all right wing nutso on him, we could hold it together long enough to get some real change happening.

And then we have the other problem of the media being so unaware of the constitution and the way our government is supposed to work, that they never question the RW talking points, so we end up with accusations that Obama isn't writing a health care plan of his own-- shiver me timbers, he's letting the legislative body legislate? --, or they chastise him for not letting the generals run make the larger decisions -- we elected our CIC, and as far as the larger decisions go, I'd rather he be the CIC, and take into account reports from generals, but also look at the larger picture of possibilities and strategies - some of which may not even be military-oriented. yes, I know, that's shocking.

Obama is chastised for "dithering" when in fact, he is considering. Something the last CIC could have used a bit of himself. It's called LEADERSHIP.
