too funny... "republican" used as a dirty word... in GEORGIA!!!
In his latest television advertisement, a candidate for mayor of Atlanta is using what some people in this mostly Democratic city consider a dirty word. Kasim Reed is calling frontrunner Mary Norwood a Republican. It didn’t take long for Mary Norwood to come back with a rebuttal ad, saying she is not a Republican. “I voted for Barack Obama, John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill Clinton and Ross Perot, the Independent,” Norwood said in her ad.

sure it's atlanta, but these tv ads are being seen by repubs all across north georgia!

1. Atlanta may be on the verge of getting a white mayor (Norwood)
I remember when Maynard Jackson was elected in 1973 as the first AA mayor and the mayors have all been black since then. She appears to have a lead but you never know!
