Poll question: Do you Approve of the Job Hillary Clinton is Doing as Secretary of State?
Ive wanted to take the temperature of DU for awhile now of key figures in the Obama administration, and on the eve of election day 2010, a year since Obama won the 2008 Presidential Election, I thought now would be a good time.

The scale I'm using is different than one I and other pollsters have used previously, but I think this fits better.

Here is a link to the poll on VP Joe Biden

10. The kind who go into every single thread that has to do with Bill or Hillary and attack them
I would name the two most persistant offenders, but I wouldn't want to get in trouble for calling anybody out. I have no doubt they'll show their ugly faces in this thread sooner or later.

12. I do - though I did not rec or unrec - it is designed to start a flame war
Here is likely what you want:

- HRC is a great SOS
- no she is an awful SOS
- you are a Clinton hater
- No, I'm not and that doesn't change that she is no diplomat
- she is a great diplomat and looks so happy now
- I agree

Note - what is missing:
- That what HRC does impacts the success of this Presidency
- That there is rarely any real content
- That the honest answers would likely not be as stark as Yes/no, she has had successes, notably Albania recently and some not exactly successes (Pakistan/Palestine)

5. She was doing fine until the idiotic statement on Jewish settlements
and the cavorting with the evil Bibi Netanyahu. If that's Obama's policy for Middle East, then it is a major failure!

11. I don't see any evidence of that. I think Hillary made a freelance gaffe which she corrected today.
Edited on Mon Nov-02-09 06:37 PM by ClarkUSA
It's not her first gaffe, after all.

In point of fact, Pres. Obama is the least popular U.S. president of the past few decades in recent Israeli opinion polls because he is not seen as unequivocally pro-Israel as former presidents.

young people in iowa, africa, and pakistan has exposed hillary`s disdain for anyone who dares challenge her in public. i guess those who she feels beneath her do not reserve her respect.

19. A bit too hawkish for me
but I think she is doing a decent job. She's a valuable asset to the current administration.
