1. Right now there are Republican leaders on their knees praying for Owens to win
Edited on Tue Nov-03-09 09:58 PM by grantcart
Hoffman wins and they give the keys to the party to Sarah Palin and start taking their orders from Alaska.

2. Owens wouldn't stop the nuts though
Edited on Tue Nov-03-09 10:01 PM by creeksneakers2
He'd energize the moderates and insiders to fight back, making it a bigger war. The nuts would just blame ACORN and the moderates if they lose.

3. If Owens wins, then it will be MORE than just not letting them sweep...
.... it will be the Democrat winning when he wasn't expected to. The final poll showed Hoffman ahead and the GOP's victory celebration had already begun.

Of course, I BELIEVE the final poll was taken on Sunday, before the full implact of Dede's endorsement of Owens had time to sink in. It reminded me of the New Hampshire primary when Hillary had her emotional moment AFTER the last poll and the President (that's still fun to say!) lost to her in a bit of a surprise.

If Dede's voters choose the Democrat instead after ALL of that drama, it will be a MAJOR blow to the GOP.

(Crossing my fingers and toes!!!)

9. Who do you mean?
If you mean US .... well ..... I'm almost scared to jinx anything. lol

If you mean the MSM .... it's because this (possible) change of events wasn't loaded onto their teleprompters. :)

10. And if you DO mean the press....
.... John King just explained why THEY are not talking about it much .... there's no exit polls (which is where most of the reporting comes from.)

12. If Owens wins, it will be because Palin meddled in a safe GOP district
