I love it! Obama socks it to Bonehead Boehner in Berlin
President Obama, in a televised speech to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Berlin Wall,
took special effort to use the EXACT same quote that Bonehead used at his Tea Party Congressmen performance on the steps
of the Capitol, the one about "all men are created equal," and that they all have the right to "life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness." He then CORRECTLY cited the quote as coming from the Declaration of Independence.

This was in very conspicuous contrast to the recent flagrant misattribution of the quote by Boehner and the House
Republican leadership. Obama is no fool. He could have used any appropriate quote he wanted, and he had to have
been aware of Bonehead's shining public demonstration of Republican ignorance. So he used the same quote, in correct
context (people wanting to throw off oppression, not insurance companies wishing to preserve their market share),
and attributing it to its correct source.

Bonehead handed this one to Obama on a silver platter. Obama didn't have to be asked twice.

4. I was bursting at the seams, wondering how and when the Democrats would make use of this
I wouldn't have imagined this one. Someone in the White House was VERY heads-up, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least
if Obama thought this one up all by himself.

attitude toward the republicans. Just for once let them know they are not going to turn him from the path of cleaning up the mess bush made.

he tries to employ hyperbowl.

The President is so beyond these idiots it's almost beyond comment.

11. what cracked me up about the Boner boner was
that a lot of the people who were reciting the Pledge of Allegiance apparently weren't sure they were supposed to shout the "under GOD" part, and it threw off everybody's timing ... lots of "uh, er" after the Boner shouted "Under GOD", as some finished earlier than others ...

12. And not only could he correctly quote the Preamble to the Constitution...
..... he could probably even explain to someone the meaning of Article I section 1 was well. Those Constitutional Law professors know their stuff.

13. Sometimes you have to be apologetic about your fellow Americans
In this case Obama is showing that even though some Bonehead Americans are pretty stupid he isn't one of them. Distancing oneself from stupidity is sometimes necessary especially when trying to use diplomacy and nuanced and thoughtful statements deliberately spoken to overcome Previous Stupid Bushisms.

20. I've been apologizing for my fellow Americans overseas for almost 30 years now
I got a breather from 1993 to 2001, but it hasn't been fun representing our country overseas during the Reagan and Bush
years, and just try explaining why there is such fierce opposition to Obama is difficult to a world who thinks we should
all be thrilled to have such an improvement in the White House with majorities--try explaining "blue dog" to a German or a
Frenchman--in both houses of Congress.

("Blauer Hund? Was soll das denn sein?" / "Chien bleu? C'est quoi, ça?")

16. Intelligence won THIS time--usually, the idiots with power and money win
Otherwise, the Gore administration would have had a successful conclusion on Jan. 20 of this year.
Al Gore won the election of 2000, but power and money prevented him from taking office.
