WTF - Illinois is back in play????
http://www.cbs2chicago.com/

Kerry 49, Bush 45 - There is a pdf file you can download for further details...

I mean, it's doubtful that Bush could win Illinois, but this is not a good sign. I haven't heard ANY ads for either candidate at all locally here. Will Kerry have to put in some $$$ to ensure the state??? Will Bush make any push here???

3. Illinois is Chicago...chicago is Daley and he is a "pwerful dem"
plus you have the Dem Senate race with Barack.

Did you know in Florida the dem candidate is ahead of the repug for the senate (latest poll 49-45%)

I count, what 4 or 5 today already. Add that to 5 or 6 from yesterday...

I know, who cares

it's a CRAP poll (real acronym), meaning they call with a computerized, taped, series of questions

anybody, including your DOG can push the buttons to answer

they had Kerry ahead by like three in California

7. Yeah, the REAL question is, will the margin of victory for Obama
be more than twice the percentage of votes Keyes gets?

10. I made a bet that Keyes will get 30%
Just because I figured even some of the Repugs will have to vote for him. I'm really thinking that wasn't a good idea now.

11. Yeah, the real question is how dramatic the landslide will be for Obama
as for Kerry, I think he'll win by 6 - 11 percentage points.

14. I tend toward the higher end of the scale for Kerry
simply because the Republicans are very discouraged this year. Keyes certainly is doing nothing to encourgage most Illinoisan Republicans, either. Just the Fringe Right.

15. so....he gets twentyfive percent.....Obama gets seventy five
that works for me

that poll had Barack at 41, so add at least ten

every time Keyes opens his cakehole, he loses votes

he's better than Ditka

well, maybe not

how bout Mike North?

18. That poll had Obama at 65, Keyes at 24
and it's a poll that consistently leans to the right.

You do the math. I figure this will be the worst defeat that Keyes has ever experienced in a Senate race. Up to now, his worst defeat was the 28% of the vote he took in a Maryland race.

21. I know...........I love seeing Keyes on the news, hearing him on radio
I got through to Milt the day after Keyes was chosen, and laughed at Joe Morris, who said he'd make the race competetive, or something like that, then waxed on how much the gay thing would help Keyes, after I mentioned that he blamed homosexuality for HITLER in one of his quotes

then, I said that, to be generous, Obama would win by a minimum of twenty, but that I really thought it'd be at least thirty

Milt, later in the show, was VERY enthusiastic about Keyes

it was so pathetic

what happened to him?

I also talked to Ann Coulter on his show last year

24. No, the REAL question is
whether Jerry Kohn (Libertarian) will get more votes than Keyes. If he had a higher profile, I think he could pull it off. The fact that he is pro-life may even pull away some of the pro-life voters that think that Keyes is too wacked even for them.

8. Are you scared?
I'm scared. Not that we will lose, but that all these polls are foreshadowing a stolen election that will be taken by "black boxes". This has really been bothering me for the last week or so.

PLEASE, someone, convince me that it is NOT TRUE!

But check out my original response - I did say that I don't think Bush will win here.

And I apologize to any who have seen this poll thread before, I just heard about it in the car during lunch.

22. Like I said in another thread It's a set up for election theft.
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 02:34 PM by Sentinel Chicken
Stealing an election through Black Box Voting requires a perception that it's a close election before the vote. Otherwise it will look ridiculous. We're being set up and you can tell when Bush's poll numbers are going up by big leaps despite bad news on all fronts.

26. I'm not too worried
My worries are about Wisconsin, Pennyslvania, New Mexico, Michigan, and a few others.

If states like Illinois and New Jersey end up going to Bush, it will be part of a larger landslide. I can't see one of these isolated blue states just going to Bush for no reason.
