Now wouldn't that be just dandy? Thanks to Kos for the poll results.

Anzalone-Liszt Research. 9/15-19. MoE 4.4%. (No trend lines.)

Harris (R) 50
Schneider (D) 44
If the election where held today:

Harris (R) 46
"Someone New" 48

Schneider's name ID is only 57 percent, but she's about to go on the air. It's clear district voters are looking for someone new to represent them, as Schneider boosts her name ID and gets her message out, she should be able to pick up some of those who are relecting choosing Harris in the head-to-head numbers.

14. I doubt it but I would like to think I had a role in embarrsing her on TV
as I did on Wolf Blitzer last year. She sure dropped out of the Seante race after that phone call. RoFL ..That was a very good day !

30. Details please.
I love to hear about small victories, particularly when someone as despicable as her is put in her place.

Do you think a Senate run would have been a good thing? There isn't a better GOTV symbol.

16. E voting is going to make all the difference there.
Unfortunately, It was Harris that secured all these fraud machines for Florida. I'm sure her districted is full of them. I really have a sick feeling that the fraud this time around, EVERYWHERE country wide is going to be so over the top that this country is going to be stretched at the seams. The writing is on the walls, BBV reporting everyday about rigged machines, votes that have already gone missing in many places and we hear not one word from ANY news media.

These bastards aren't going to lose power lightly. They know once someone new gets in there full investigations are going to take place. We are eventually going to find out these past 4 years are the most corrupt America has ever seen. There is no telling what has taken place.

17. tough race to win
I wish Schneider all the best, but its a very tough race. Harris is right at 50 percent and the district leans Republican.

31. Sarasota County is heavily GOP
But I don't know how her district is divided up. Not likely that GOP gerrymandering would have changed that much. Cruella's favorables must be low if she's only at 50%.

23. Schneider ran against Harris two years ago
supposedly she came within 5% of Harris then, and she was a political unknown in a high profile race.

Schneider just might be able to catch up this time.

29. Harris played most of her dirty tricks cards in that campaign, didn't she?
There was a Democratic primary where one of the Democratic candidates was really a Republican plant. There was other stuff that I can't remember.

A good gage of whether she is certain of the BBV edge will be how much out right cheating happens. If it isn't much then she knows there is no worry.

24. Imagine this news on election night
1. Bush loses big.
2. Tom DeLay defeated in Texas.
3. Katherine Harris ousted in Florida.

Doesn't get much better than that.

Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 09:32 AM by AngryAmish
Unfortunately, virtually every politician loses the "someone new" question. Everybody hates politicians, so everybody has an idealized "perfect" candidate that they would vote for. So the "someone new" question is brought up every election cycle and discussed in the news, but it means nothing.

32. How very "liberal" of you to denigrate a woman's physical appearance.
Since repugs use pictures of Hillary on urinal targets, it's ok? Or what are you saying? Let's all be equally stupid!

Hope Jan wins though. I actually donated to her just yesterday. She's a friend of a relative of mine.
