Very important point about terrorists tampering with elections

At the same time we are being warned that terrorists might tamper with US elections and that extraordinary steps (perhaps even cancellation) might need to be taken to prevent this, we are being told that WAR in Iraq will have no effect whatsoever on their elections--that they will proceed wonderfully in January come hell or high water.

So does this mean that Americans are scared little bunnies who can't even vote for the right candidate if there is one incident of terror but that the brave Iraqis aren't fazed by hundreds of attacks, deaths, and bloody chaos throughtout their country when it's time for them to vote?

And what about Afghanistan? They can bravely hold elections with everyday violence, too?

I'm insulted that the Bushies think fear can influence my vote and the vote of my fellow Democrats. The Dems I know would crawl over broken glass under machine gun fire to vote in this election.
