And here's some words from your typical Bush supporter
and you wonder why we are in deep shit...

http://flprogressive.blogspot.com/2004/09/we-get-wingnuts.html

PETER SLEN, C-Span HOST: Kenner, Louisiana, good morning.

CALLER (in a very airy voice): Good morning. I’m going to vote for President Bush because, after all, you know, God made us there, you know, in His image, free from any black color and all . The only church that Kerry can go to is where they say the Black Mass, and that is in the Merriam-Webster Pocket Book dictionary, where it says that that is the devil worshippers. I would never vote for, you know, Senator Kerry.e every effort to give you the same booth again, or very nearSo, definitely, I would never vote for, you know, Senator Kerry.

And that isn’t the only reason. Also, in the Bible, God said … God … that, uh, also, like (unintelligible) and faggots, that he says, anybody that lays down with another man and has sex with his own sex, and any woman that lays down with another woman and has sex should be put to death and their (unintelligible) upon them. It also says that about interracial marriages and everything. So that’s the reason why I’m voting for my president, Bush.
SLEN: What do you do in, uh …

CALLER: And that isn’t the only reason. They also have other reasons also. The other reason is political, because like the political terrorists, they’ve been out there for eight months, and they’ve been out on the road, and they’ve been talking about … they’ve talked against our president. They put him down in every way. And God knows that that is wrong. He’s out there doing God’s work. He’s taking care of all our children.
Like when Clinton was in, he made – he tried to make whores and faggots out of our little girls – whores out of our little girls. He put the pornography in the schools. And God’s gonna condemn him for that.

SLEN: What do you do in Kenner?
CALLER (talking over question): And that’s the reason why … he even went to the hospital and everything.

SLEN: Caller, what do you do in Kenner, Louisiana?
CALLER: Pardon me?

SLEN: What do you do in Kenner? Do you have a job?
CALLER: I’m a housewife.

SLEN: A housewife? Where do you go to church?
CALLER: I go to different churches. I go to, sometimes, in New Orleans, I go to the Cathedral. And I believe in my God, and I know that God is here to protect everybody. And if Kerry comes in … God helped the whole world, because God loved … Kerry … oh, that’s another thing …

6. Kenner is in Jefferson Parish
which contains the district (including my neighborhood) that sent David Duke to the state house in 1989. Jefferson borders Orleans parish, and the metro area is compact, but it's amazing how different the two parishes are. The typical mentality amongst people in Jefferson is that as soon as you cross the parish line into New Orleans you will be murdered by some black people. So I'm kind of surprised that woman even ventures into the N.O. cathedral.

14. Yes, he is. Vitter is one of the Republican lapdogs.
I've lived in the same suburb most of my life. I'm about 20 minutes outside of New Orleans; 10 minutes outside of Kenner. I've met a lot of Kenner people who, in the past 15 years, have moved into my area, and I can tell you, they're a different breed. The ones I've met are very suspicious, out-spoken, hot-headed, intolerant people. I decided long ago I didn't care to socialize with them.

7. Yes, this is the ugly underbelly of America, keeping Bush...
and his ilk is power...these people need to be outed, vetted, exposed, and humiliated and condemned.

That's the only way to saving this country and the world.

Was born in Metairie.

That woman scares me. There are plenty of people like that in Kenner. Going to Catholic schools through high school, I ran into a number of them.

Still scary..

20. That Is Wild, About The Catholic Schools Because...
Here (in L.A., CA) I went to Catholic schools and my daughter is in Catholic HS right now and they are WAAAY liberal....to the point, the parking lot is flooded with Kerry stickers and I have to tell my 9th grader and her friends to not to hassle the girl from the GOP family that has the "W" sticker on her car because she told me that she was ganged up on in current events.

The moderator couldn't believe what he was hearing. He wanted her to go on and on but had to cut her off. Peter, the moderator gets a lot of those kooks.

16. and there you have what unites them as a party,
and why any minority or gay person should never support the GOP even if they agree with them "issues". The theory of "conservatism" is the pretty storefront. White christian nationalism is what is really going on inside.
