Kerry just can't win
For some people, he just can't do anything right, no matter what he does.

From the Imus daily newsletter:

"Journalist Mike Barnicle will join IMUS at 7:29am eastern. The presidential polls have once again tightened up as the candidates prepare for the first of their three debates. John Kerry continues to hammer away at the administration's Iraq policy, despite recent indications that Americans are more concerned about the economy.. is he missing a golden opportunity?"

But I thought Americans were so shit-scared of terror (or maybe they're in terror of being scared) that they can't focus on anythign else. Wasn't it just like, oh, last week, that Kerry was being screamed at from all sides to forget about the economy and hammer Bush on Iraq? So, now that he does so...

Dickens was wrong. It's not the Law that's a ass, it's the press. Only I think that's being unfair to Equus asinus.

2. The silver lining...
If the press wants red meat, it means they're not entirely rooting for Bush. Kerry might just have a chance in the debates (and here I'm being mindful of the fact that it's more how the ringside judges score than it is how the thing actually goes down).

3. Hilarious!
"Recent indications" show that Iraq is Bush's own personal complete disaster and that's why MSNBC would like to have Kerry talking about the economy again.

5. Journalist Mike Barnicle???
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 10:33 PM by Teaser
Shouldn't Journalist be in quotes there? Unless we're operating under some radical redefinition of journalism which includes the wholesale manufacture of sources in order to generate more pithy stories.

Lord, if Barnicle said *one word* about Rathergate...

well, what I'd do is best left unsaid.

6. Barnicle Is A Joke- Totally Discredited
If he wasn't a pal of Matthews, he wouldn't be working at all.
