The facts and laws to do it are certainly there. They are guilty of impeachable offences.
We might not need a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress, because a few independent Republicans could vote to impeach once the now rather hidden of evidence of impeachable offences is brought forward, and the majority of Americans accept the case (as ultimately happened to Nixon when enough of the truth got out). It's a much more serious list of impeachable offences than any previous administration has committed.
We are definately now seeing the early phases of an upsurge of critical public social and political activism, people want to bring up much of the real crisis that so far Democrats have hardly dared to touch. What can happen on the level of Congressional politics is that various canidates in various parts of the country can find ways of connecting with some of the best new trends, while making it work with social fabric of their area. It's easier for Congressional than Presidential Democrats to seize the possibilities of an activist era, as was very clear in the late 60's and early 70's.
But maybe I'm discussing the 2006 election here! :hippie: :toast:
