Shh............ My hubby's making calls in swing states for Kerry.
I am so suprised. He's a yellow dog but very shy and quiet. I think I just fell in love all over.

I phone-banked tonight and it was great. It's very heartening when you can persuade undecideds to look at your candidates. It's even better when they say they're leaning Boosh and you turn them toward Kerry!

It's a real song. It's the theme for this radio segment in L.A. where they ask batboy questions. It's the dumbest thing ever but its funny.

6. Update, You are not going to believe this. 5 phone# is all he recieved....
He only talked to two, They were in New Mexico. He said one woman was working for Moveon.org, the second one was voting Kerry but she could not canvas. He will get 5 more I guess tomarrow and will try the others later. 3 answering machines. NM would be great.

12. Yes I told him I posted this I think he was embarrased a bit. He is great.
We have never seen so many options to help because we live in Ca so to call other states is great. Never had to #'s in other years.

Do you mean that you never got phone numbers from other states before or that there weren't this many people helping in such a grassroots effort before?

We got an influx of people coming up from Chicago last month. Illinois is pretty safe, so I guess they figured they should sent the people up to our little swing state.

13. A year ago this month
my husband shocked me by agreeing to go to Iowa with me to canvass for Dean. This guy is a liberal but previously had been SO apolitical that before I met him he hardly bothered to vote. In the years since, I have simply made up a little cheat sheet for him to take to the polls and told him if nothing else, look for "Democrat" and vote for that person.

So when he agreed to canvass door to door in a place we'd never been and he is as shy as he is, WOW. I really did fall in love all over again. We tramped all over Davenport, Iowa in the chilly rain of September and he was the biggest trooper.

It's a great feeling isn't it? Tell your hubby good on him!!!!
