Right wing Tampa Trib goes after Mel Martinez.....this is good for Castor.
http://www.tampatrib.com/News/MGB75Q35QZD.html
SNIP..."Mel Martinez promised to run a clean campaign for U.S. Senate and blamed his staff for the ugly smear tactics that helped him beat Bill McCollum in the Republican primary.
Voters who believed him then should be having second thoughts now.

Martinez's campaign is again stooping to below-the-belt attacks, this time involving Democrat Betty Castor, his opponent in November.

The former HUD secretary's staff used the phrase ``armed thugs'' to describe federal law enforcement agents ordered to seize Elian Gonzalez back in 2000. The remark is pure political pandering to the Cuban community and an insult to agents involved. They were doing their jobs and did them remarkably well in a very tense situation.

SNIP..."Martinez may think his good-guy personality and immigrant background are enough to overcome campaign nastiness, but voters should demand more. Fool them once, shame on you. Fool them twice, shame on them...."

1. Someone at the Tampa Tribune
has some scruples! I be Betty Castor and Crew are happy to see this..and anyone who has been the victim of the repuke smear tactics.

The repubs can't run on their records..so they have to lie and smear their "opponent". Smearing Betty didn't work for deutch, did it, martinez?

2. She just sent an email about it. Yes, it is quite good for her.
Remember she was president of USF and the state education commissioner, and she is well-respected in our area. This is absolutely great for her.

We quit getting the delivery of the Trib last year because they are so right wing. So this is a good thing.

3. This is such a great thing for this paper to be against Martinez.
I am kicking it just for the joy of it.
