They Will Call the Debate a "Tie"--It Suits all Their Purposes
The whores (with maybe the exception of Fox) are going to call the debate tonight a "tie" because it covers everthing they want to do: 1) they hope it keeps people coming back for the other 3 they are forced to cover; 2) it's as good as a glorious Bush win and Kerry defeat because they will spin it as "Kerry NEEDED to win, but, alas, he only tied"---thus either keeping the polls where they are now or having Kerry drop; 3) they are skittish since the CBS fiasco that they be called biased whores. I believe I just wrote the script.......

2. Yeah, I think you might be right. They will try to find a way to claim
Kerry loses, but since I expect him to do great, the best they will say is tie.
Short of Bush slurring his words, falling down, or perhaps vomiting...there is no way they will say Bush lost.

3. I believe you're right! Maintaining the tension of the status quo
benefits the media. And they can still get their snide spin in. Even if Bush were to dissolve right before our eyes into a sizzly puddle and Kerry wiped the floor with him, the commentariat would be saying "well, he did that once, was that a fluke? Can he do it again?" Or somesuch.

5. I posted early this morning something like what you're saying...
Here's the link. You have some different points from what I wrote, but I agree with what you have too.
