Wow this debate is really hyped
I don't know if that helps or hurts JK, but these debates are being super hyped by the cable news talking heads, some calling it the most important in recent history. Odd considering all the restraints and stipulations written in the debate agreements.

Does this hype help or hurt the challenger generally?

2. It's probably good
Other than the DNC, this is the best opportunity Kerry has to win over voters and reach the most people.

4. I noticed this at work today
three people who are what I would call barely political asked me if I was going to watch the debate tonight. I didn't even think that they would be aware that there was a debate.

5. This debate wouldn't be hyped if it weren't designed
to give Bush every advantage.

If Kerry wrote the rules, the media would be focusing on how nobody was going to watch . . .

7. Yep!
It seems MSRNC has taken a cue from NBC Sports. Pre debate interviews complete with the University of Miami Pep Band, Pom-Pom Girls, locker room interviews, interviews with opposing coaches and "color" commentators from both teams. The only thing they haven't shown is the trophy for the winning team.

Absolutely nauseating.......

20 Minutes until kickoff.....
