Did you get the "leash" comment about his daughters???

When they chatted it up about their daughters, and Kerry said he appreciated the Bush daughters' humor, * said "I should probably put a leash on them." Kerry said, "No, I've learned that's not a good idea."

I don't know about you, but when * said "leash", I immediately thought of Abu Ghraib and the humiliation of Iraqi prisoners. Obviously the USA has completely forgot about our biggest fuck up in Iraq: Abu Ghraib.

And finally, neither candidate admitted that the Iraqi people don't even want us there, thanks to our leading naked prisoners around on leashes (not to mention our bombs falling on their children). You can't "win the peace." Peace is not a war.

I thought it just a total insult to his daughters.
You should never insult those you love in public.
Let alone in front of the entire world.

Kerry's momentary confusing of Saddam and bin Laden will be the big spin point. Neither it nor Bush's Freudian Abu Ghraib allusion is truly a significant slip.

The real sound bite OUGHT to be when Kerry busted Bush for saying hitting Iraq was a way of striking back for 9/11. God help that poor bastard (and the people he's supposed to be protecting), but I think he really believes attacking country Y for the evil deeds of an unrelated terrorist group from country X is a case of "striking back."

No TV means THEY can't monitor my bowel movements and control my thoughts.

Kerry went out of hs way to compliment the manslaughterer Laura...

Kerry referred to the Russian media, and I believe it definitely was in regards to our media..

And then this one...too funny!!!

It was a revealing, unscripted moment. The only thing Kerry could have better spoken to handle it might have been, "I haven't tried that, how does it work out for you?"

I feel badly for Bush's daughters. To have been raised so poorly and then put down like that in public by their father. What a shame.

I do too, even thought I don't care for them so much. The fact that a parent would say something like that about his own children in front of the entire world, even as a 'joke' ha, speaks volumes about the relationship they have. The put-down came so quickly and apparently without thought. * doesn't self-censor. "Put a leash on" is something you do to a dog. Sure, it's an expression and all, but with Abu Ghraib still fresh in people's minds, it wasn't just tasteless and crass, it was telling of how little an impression the pictures and reports from Abu Ghraib made on him.

How sad.

they like to leash their daughters. I am no fan of their father but I don't dislike the Bush twins, though I must say I prefer Vanessa and Alexandra Kerry and Cate Edwards to those two but it's not as if they're spreading lies about Kerry around like their father and his master, Dick Cheney.
