Not as important as Iraq and the economy, but telling, so telling.

From Americablog...

Bush wants to put a leash on women
by John in DC - 10/1/2004 12:39:52 AM

There's already been feedback on the blog that some independent women were not very pleased with Bush's comment about putting a leash on his daughters. Not to mention, leash, Abu Ghraib - hello? We may have an issue here...
KERRY: And so I acknowledge that his daughters -- I've watched them.

KERRY: I've chuckled a few times at some of their comments.

(LAUGHTER)

And...

BUSH: I'm trying to put a leash on them.

(LAUGHTER)

KERRY: Well, I know. I've learned not to do that.

And women's groups are already up in arms about it, as they should be.

4. That is what happened, isn't it?
As soon as he is off the script, out come remarks like that. Totally unexpected, and totally worth more emails tomorrow.

6. hey george!
as a dad your age and with a 18 yr old daughter you know what???you should have stayed off the booze and drugs then maybe you wouldn`t have to put a leash on them-george take my advice -you are to late to do anything about your daughters-you fucked up and now you are paying the price. i know that my daughter will never act like your daughters cause i stayed sober while she was growing up....

9. I loved when Kerry said
he learned not to try to put a leash on his daughters. He probably knew that if you try to hold them down too much they'd just go out and rebel. Bush was trying to joke around, but Kerry got him back. I think Bush really hurt himself tonight. :)

10. And Kerry's smile was
so relaxed and affable at that unscripted moment. It seemed that Bush had to blink a few times before he caught on that he had been bested in the exchange.

I noticed the television media haven't been replaying that moment. Damnit, I wish they would, Kerry looked so likeable and Bush came off like a pig.

11. Sadder still, I think he meant to say 'muzzle'.
Becuase of the context. Pure speculation of course. But it makes more sense.
Ahhh W, enjoy it while it lasts....
For me it seems, though this is ot, the choice between having a President, (Kerry), or not (*).
