Missy Johnson, victim of Bush's love
BUSH: You know, I think about Missy Johnson. She‘s a fantastic lady I met in Charlotte, North Carolina. She and her son Brian, they came to see me. Her husband PJ got killed. He‘d been in Afghanistan, went to Iraq.

You know, it‘s hard work to try to love her as best as I can, knowing full well that the decision I made caused her loved one to be in harm‘s way.

5. He has no idea what love is
In his family, they don't love you unless you're out there crushing someone.

His whole life, love and affection for others is something you fake while you're using them.

His marriage is abnormal and formal.

He has a hard time talking about love because he never gave it or got it.

It's sad really.

Or giving them a pap-smear, as his Ob/Gyn comment alluded to.

9. I was about to say the same thing!
He innappropriately places the word "love" in sentences. How could he have thought that was the right word in those instances!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH

Bush missed the 70's and the hippies, so he's trying to make up for it? Heh.

I wish Bush* would stop insisting on American women getting unwanted love from him, doctors, or anyone else. Granted, it's consistant with his belief that we shouldn't have control over our own bodies, but geez, does he have to talk about it all the time?

15. I'm sure that's the word he was looking for
I came away with the impression that he really wasn't sincere about the woman's loss, rather he was just trying to convince Americans that he has compassion for those who have lost family and friends he has placed in harm's way. He came off very insincere, as he usually if not always, does.

Still can't believe his mother said that. I'd pity the son of any woman that was that insensitive, but President "I Want Heads to Roll!" deserves none.

17. You know.....
i saw this guy on the Al Franken show a few weeks back, talking about how dubya only seems to stumble and produce a bushism when he's trying to be sincere or empathetic.

As soon as he started talking about Missy Johnson, i knew it was coming, and sure enough.....

what was even scarier was that after uhhhh...loving her, they prayed and cried, and laughed about her husband's death.

25. He broke the rules,
you are not suppose to mention people by name.

He then proceeds to violate that very person by insulting her with "You know it‘s hard work to try to love her as best as I can, knowing full well that the decision I made caused her loved one to be in harm‘s way."

Harm's way what the hell are you talking about, he was killed. If only he had been harmed perhaps he would have been able to provide his wife with the love you so desperately think that you can provide her. I would bet all my possessions that she would prefer his love to yours!!!

Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 05:03 PM by Disturbed
It seems that there is a truth here. He said that it is hard work to try to love her as best as he can. Hard work for him because he has no love and as best as he can because he has nothing to offer. While at first the statement sounded like nonesense it does ring true to this Sociopath's personality.

36. Actually, I think the rule was that no one in the audience could be
mentioned by name.

But Bush broke the rules in other ways, by interrupting and asking for inappropriate rebuttals in which he just repeated himself. He was trying to run down the clock to give Kerry less time.

34. What does that mean? That he has a hard time facing her after sending
her husband to get killed? If so, that is a stupid and sick way to say it. It would be even harder work IF he went to even one fallen soldier's funeral or IF he visited the wounded in Walter Reed or IF he visited the troops in Iraq and Afganistan or IF he hadn't totally screwed up everything he ever touched! How can anyone in the military support Bush?

You know, trying to sound sincere like he really gave a shit. Like he felt compassion for the woman's and her son's loss. It came across insincere and phony. bush* should cut out the BS that he gives a rat's ass about anyone but rich assholes like himself. :grr: I really hate bush* Insincere POS!

38. He can't say Died, Dead, Death...
Afterall, his family didn't teach that to him. His sister dies and the parents go golfing afterwards. 'Oh, let's not dwell on death and such ugly things....'

He can't stand death, he doesn't understand death. He doesn't want to see death.

He sent Missy's husband to DIE! 'Love her as best he can'???? He doesn't know how to comfort ANYONE...he wasn't taught that. His own mother doesn't want to see pictures of returning coffins as it will mess up her "lovely mind".. What a DYSFUNCTIONAL BUNCH OF NEANDERTHALS!
