With all that "concern" about Kerry's ill-fated tanning adventure,

Didn't Bush come off as a bit orange?

May have just been C-SPAN, but I did see that the lighting did make Kerry seem slightly pale or a very mild blue tinge.

I did flip to other channels to see, and saw a variety of shadings as I went from one station to another.

BUT, Kerry was not "orange".

This was obvious from the C-Span split screen.

I think Rove put the talking point out there about Kerry having a tanning incident, when it was actually Bush who had a run in with the insta tanner.

4. Kerry's makeup people toned down his tan in response to

all the "orange" spin running around. So when Fox "oranged-up" the lights to exploit the tan....Kerry looked great and Bush looked orange!!

5. Why aren't all the Freepers outraged - where was Kerry's Orange Face?

Back on Monday/Tuesday they were so certain that Kerry would look orange at the debate and be embarrassed - Drudge/Limbaugh/Hannity/etc didn't lie to them did they?

6. I noticed three interesting things

I watched on C-Span (thought FoxNews managed the camera pool)
1.) The color balance on Kerry's camera was definitely adjusted 'cooler' to give him a pale, almost blue--as you note--appearance, compared to Bush*'s warm color.
2.) Bush*'s camera was adjusted to make him look the same height as Kerry.
3.) When in split screen mode, the Bush* side was slightly larger (horizontally) than Kerry's. I thought I was seeing things, then I actually checked with a ruler. It was like 55-45.

Subliminal ploys? Who knows.
It didn't help the stupid chimp anyway.
