Let's get this story blasted out there. FAUX FABRICATION
Carl Cameron, chief political correspondent for FOX News Channel, fabricated a story with false, denigrating quotes from Kerry and it was published on FoxNews.com.

We need to blast this out to the media to get this story covered. I emailed it to Countdown. Let's get it out there to more outlets.

Info can be obtained at:
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com

If someone has a screen shot of the original story (with the false quotes from Kerry), please post it here so we can send that out, too. Thanks. :)

8. Yes.
But the unedited footage of that conversation--it runs about 8 minutes long--is even more sick than the stuff you saw in the film. Cameron is a pig and this story needs to be spread far and wide.

2. Would that be the same Carl Cameron...
...that got so indignant at his portrayal as a Bushbot in Outfoxed? What a jackass. I'd say he should lose his job, but being a whore for Bush is a prereq to getting hired by Faux News.

12. Please cross post this on breaking news
I believe that when Fox publishes a bogus story and retracts it the same day, that should classify it as breaking.

This story is pretty big. It will make all the right-wingers blush. It is really more egregious than Rathergate--how could Fox really have believed Kerry said these things?

14. How's mine??
You're an idiot. It's so nice to see such fair and balanced reporting, even if you have to make some of it up. After the blowup that CBS went through, I'd suspect you'd know better. I guess real journalism has ties to the presidency in that it must be awfully "hard work".

For a reporter assigned to cover the Kerry campaign to be so blatently biased is, quite frankly, shocking even for Fox News, and if there's a shred of journalistic integrity left in this country, real journalists will out you for the hack that you are.

transcript:
Rallying supporters in Tampa Friday, Kerry played up his performance in Thursday night's debate, in which many observers agreed the Massachusetts senator outperformed the president.
"Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!" Kerry said Friday.

With the foreign-policy debate in the history books, Kerry hopes to keep the pressure on and the sense of traction going.

Aides say he will step up attacks on the president in the next few days, and pivot somewhat to the domestic agenda, with a focus on women and abortion rights.

"It's about the Supreme Court. Women should like me! I do manicures," Kerry said.

Kerry still trails in actual horse-race polls, but aides say his performance was strong enough to rally his base and further appeal to voters ready for a change.

"I'm metrosexual — he's a cowboy," the Democratic candidate said of himself and his opponent.

A "metrosexual" is defined as an urbane male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.

17. This needs to be investigated by every media outlet
and newspaper in this country ASAP. The proof here would hold up in any court of law (even the Republican controlled Supreme Court). Why is there no outrage, why is there no coverage of this from the media? Why? Because everyone is afraid of the Big, Bad Fox! Well, f that I say--let's hang 'em high for this.

19. This is not worth rapid responding to and heres why....
First off, it was only on the net and for a short while.

Second, it is such a stupid irrelevant tidbit. We should save the email blasting for when we really need it -- for real issue and avoid a "cry wolf" syndrome.

Third, everyone knows Fox is biased.
