Fascinating....after 30 min of pondering, here's what I think -

Fascinating....after 30 min of pondering, here's what I think -
Edwards had Cheney on the defensive right from the start. We all knew that there was no way Cheney was going to do a self destruct like his boss did in the first debate....I really liked it when he was so hunched over that his microphone was distorting. I think Edwards missed a few body blows, but coming prepared with the flip flop list and Cheney's voting record was brilliant. The energy on the domestic issues was overall lower, but the air was completely out of Cheney's balloon on those issues, and Edwards cleaned his clock.

Overall - I would rate it as a clear win for Edwards, but Cheney was not lying bleeding on the mat like * was in his licking by Kerry. Still, no break in our momentum from this, and if the other side was hoping for a momentum breaker/slam dunk from the big Dick, they will be sadly disappointed.

I do think that this debate will be more prone to post-debate spin towards the dark side than our great victory of last week.
